I have recently picked up what I'd say would be a cruiser 9ft by 20 something by 3. The shape to me looks like a more traditional mal - the type where you set your line and glide as opposed to something more high performance. It has a 2 + 1 set up that I'll suss out down the track but at the moment, I really want to chuck on a new single fin on this old gal. I think it deserves something more proper than a white plastic and what looks like, overused and rusted screw single fin.

In saying that, I've spent my life riding shortboards so have no clue what so ever on what fin or size/ shape to choose. Any of you guys have any tips? Styles? Or particular brands you like for a fin? As stupid as it sounds, I'm liking the aesthetic appeal of some of these single fins from Captain Fin Co. or Salty Sea Merchants/ Cuts Doloro.

Any help, much appreciated. Cheers guys.

Whack up a picture of your board mate, those fins your looking at are real show stoppers however may not suit your board.

Very similar to this board just as a point of reference. Will post mine up down the track when I get some free time to chuck it on a bbq rack etc

Thanks mate. Is it simply a matter of finding a fin around that shape or are FCS the team whom I should be checking fins out from? Would be more keen on a few more options. Cheers!
