What do you guys use to get that wax residue off a board. Got some on the bottom that I need to get off.... Shellite and turps have been mentioned to me at different times.. Does that have a detrimental effect to the glass?? PU in this case

I use actetone...you might know it better as nail polish remover
The best thing is a dulux product called Prepsol, it's usually used to prepare the surface of a car for painting, there are also similar products in the cut price auto spares shops labeled " wax and grease remover". But they can be an expensive way to do it.
Turps does an excellent job, however, it will leave a very small oily residue on the surface that will not let the wax stick back on as well as it should.
What I try to do is to clean it off with the cheap turps and then once I'm done, give it the once over with the wax and grease remover.
Sometimes I even finish it off with soapy water to make dead sure there's no oil residue.
Tops thanks, I just used one of those "people friendly" type, household citrus based degreaser which did the trick for the few little patches I had to clean up...
Easy hot water (not boiling) works well don't do it on grass as I have a 9 ' outline of a board in the grass were the grass died from the hot water and wax
