Seems like yesterday when I was banging my teenage noggin to the angels. The Mansfield / playroom and the angels were a great combo, get a gutful of rum in ya and have a good time, those were the days.
The angels pumped out so much energy when they played you they let you buzzing for hours.
Anyone got a fav ? Dogs are talking was mine.

I heard an interesting piece on him this evening on radio - seems like despite his illness he went hard right to the very end. RIP.

Port and coke at the Newcastle Workers Club ( before the earthquake). Loudest band I've ever seen.

I WON'T ever see your face again.

Probably the first band I could hear on radio and go to see.
Actually bought the singles, and advance ordered the albums.
Not my favourite now, but 'Take along Line" was the best back then.
Shame about later conflicts within the band.
Heard a bit of discussion today about 'No Way, get..." etc, and how it originated / developed
Song wasn't even in the live show when I first saw them
.Doc was my first hero!!!

Great choice !
What about the venue at the bottom of greenie hill cant remember the name but it was popular with the live band scene in the 80/90,s and the local fighters. loved to frequent the place to share the Luv.

Saw them when they supported Meatloaf (1st tour) in Sydney at the Horden way back when, nobody had heard of them. Blew batloaf of the stage, called them back on stage for encores was great. They always kicked arse. Vale Doc.
