with my new home made covers that have a soft fabric lining I dry them - not thoroughly though. With my other covers never.

i keep mine in the swimming pool then not in use so they're always wet and ready to go

i dont wash it or dry it but do hate the wax when it can stick to the bag if it got warm...

my wife decided not to put her board in its bag last week because of the wax sticking ... stone hit it on the highway... massive ding :(

she will use the bag now

Yep, I dry it or at least give it a wipe with a towel most times.

A quick rinse with fresh water
I dry it with my shammy before going back in the bag.
Open bag to air when I get home.

haha there is a guy at the pass who is a nutter about keeping his board in A1 condition,

after every surf he rinses the board for like 10 mins in the shower. Then wipes it down till it is bone dry. Then removes the fin and cleans it with Mr Sheen and places the fin into a silk sock specially made for his fin. He the removes his leg rope. Then windex's his whole board top to bottom, then places the board into a sock, then into a 10mm travel bag.

He has the best wax job i have ever seen, his wax pimples are like the size of 50 cent pieces and about 5 mm high. He only waxes his board in a certain temperature with wax that is at an exact temperature as well :) INSANE

but back to the real world, the only thing i do is make sure i rinse my board. good mate of mine who has surfed for 40 yrs and has board from the 60's always says that if u dont rinse ur board u will end up with little corrosive pimples in the glass work of your board that can eventually created little holes that water can get into

I reckon he is borrowing that board from a mate who could lob home at any given time and was told not to ride it.

he surfs ok, he buys 2 new MacT board every 6 months exactly. My GF bought a second hand ray gleave off him and u couldn't tell it was second hand .....crazy stuff

id say a serious case of anal retentiveness
