Mate I think they may deter the little ones to a certain degree but those big boys over there well anything that munchs on outboards, surf skis, dive cages, boogie boards shaped as seals isnt going to take much notice of the little buzzy thing on your ankle
Cheers boof

Agree with Boofy on this one .

From what I have read trials done in WA indicate the Electronic repellers only work on some shark species but not all .
And you probably can guess that the species that are not repelled are those that attack people . Eg. Great white , bull sharks .

I think that same company makes the electronic bullshlt defence system that I wear when on here. It stops a fair bit of bs but the heavy duty stuff from mac still gets through ??

Should market that one through Seabreeze BB could make a bit of spare cash on the side hahaha .

You have to repost that one in the other topic on the good bad and ugly

For what it's worth, I got one of the Shark Shields a few years ago after being chased out of the water 3 times in the one week by a DIRTY BIG shark . It attaches to the back of your board and trails behind you in the water . Sounds good in theory but it slowed up the McT Original way too much and it will give you a bit of a zap if it touches your body , I gave it the big flick after it got wrapped around my head one day and it felt like it was going to zap the fillings out my teeth , not very pleasant .

Thanks for your post rocky, please standby, you'll shortly be replied to by one of our members in relation to the fact that you pilot a McT board.

He does not have very many friends who like them so you'll be a real bonus for him

Mine is in fact red and a surftech ( sorry purists ) but I also ride a 9'6" x 25" traditional board . I just came in from my second session for the day at a well known pandanus covered point .

^^^ 25" wide, that's very unusual, must have been a special glued up blank.

That's the sort of width I'd like. Or maybe 24.5".
