Hi All

I'm new here and new to longboarding; although, I've been surfing the short stuff for 15 years or so now.

I've recently purchased a 9'5" Ray Gleave McT with the interest of riding it with a more traditional approach. So far I've been surfing it as a single with the factory 8", which rides nice off the tail but is not great as I move towards the nose. So I am seeking advice on what sort of fin I should try as a single fin setup. I'm looking for something that rides nice on the nose but still turns well. Any advice is appreciated.

I'm thinking the California Classic would fit the bill, in 9 inches.

Actually, Greenough 4a might be better again.

Read the descriptions. Choose fins from the heart!!!

Or, give the McTavish shop a ring and ask for a guy named Bob. They can mail you out something after a quick credit card number exchange.

Get a 10 inch pivot or dolphin fin and move it back in the box.

Cheers for the help guys. I was in Byron a fortnight ago and meant to stop into the McTavish shop but got side tracked with kids and drinking, well drinking.
Have been looking at the redline fin and wondering how it would go??

Different type of turn Chrispy. If he wants to nose ride and surf it more traditional style a large deep single is the go.

+1 I'd go 10" dolphin if it has hard rails in the tail, a keel if it it rounded rails.

The redline fin would be my choice if you wanna lash out for the best and you want a bit more traditional feel but if you still wanna have a bit of a go my second cholce would be a good quality 10 inch dolphin.
