Hi guy's, first post & looking into flights to Bali.
Was wondering if anyone has flown with air asia?
Looked on their web site and they do say you can take up to 9'1 and pay online pre book fee for sports equipment. which sounds minimal approx $20.
If anyone has any feedback would greatly be appreciated.

I took at 10' in December last year returned in January, Perth-Dempasar return.

Got to the airport early was one of the first people checked on and nothing was said, no measuring, simple and easy, checked my baggage then dropped board at oversize, quick easy and painless.

Board arrived and returned all good.

Booked online, you need to make sure you get the option for sporting goods/boards. Without that you might have some trouble.

Not sure if policies have changed since Jan, but my experience with them was awesome.

"The aircraft was operated by Lion Air, a rapidly expanding budget airline which recently sealed orders for hundreds of new planes but which is banned from US and European airspace over safety concerns."
