+ 1

Looked like you had far too much board under ya in Japan for a man of yr ability What model FW did ya have in Thailand? Its great fun being on holiday - any wave is a good one when you are not at work. Thanks for the post - lots of effort required to post those - great job. Who was the lucky camera person ? They had a nice steady hand.

I'll watch this later! The Anti-Fun Police run the Work Computers in the Perf Office!

Content Blocked! I think they just totally block You Tube.

Cheers mate...I didn't have much in the way of options for boards in Ikumi, it was either huge learner boards with massive boxy rails or that fishy 6'4 yellow board which would be a great summer slop board if it had a step...the FW's an old beat up Dom showing its age with a release valve & previously snapped. But a great board for those conditions. I'll pick up a 6'2 Spitfire one of these days, basically same shape but with some sting in the rail.

My wife filmed 1 of 2 days in Japan & 2 of 8 days in Kata. Kata had some much better days than what was captured, but it was raining & there was no one else down the beach even though I was sweating in the water lol...I appreciate her heaps for filming & she's improved alot with reading waves too

NP mate...best times between July & end of September for waves in Phuket. Mid to late Sept is the end of the Wet season, so you'll get days that are clean & pay 1/2 the price for accomodation/tours which makes a big diff. Plus there are a lot less people. 4 days out of the 10 we were there were clean days. But its pretty much the light onshore winds that are bringing the waves, this place is like a lake in high season when the trade winds swing. If you head South you could get cleaner conditions if the winds got some North in it. But it didn't really bother me, it felt cleaner than it looked if that makes any sense

The WA ladies put on a show today!!
Spectacular!
Went to an expensive bar on St Georges Terrace, and paid dearly for Asahi. But worth it!

^ Pretty much all bars are expensive in WA

I used to like Asahi, but can only drink it on tap now, its just too "super dry" out of a can. I prefer Kirin Lager or Chu-Hi
