Bro what an open ended question...I bet by the time everyone has answered my list will be way longer than it is now...I am going to break mine down into boards I am making for myself and boards that I would like to buy when funds become available :

I am planning a boat trip in 2017 so before then I would like to have shaped and ready to go on the boat:

1 x 7'6 to 8 foot Mini Tanker knock off
1 x 7'2 to 7'4 down rail single fin Speed shape/mini gun
1 x 6'4 to 6'6 quad keel fish of some description
1 x 6'2 Vanguard

This list is more of a bunch of long term projects that I am gathering info on before I attack :

1 x 9'6 to 10' full gun for super big days down the coast
1 x 10'6 tanker, rolled bottom 50/50 rails heavy as **** the works
1 x 10-12 foot quad keel fish like a Josh Hall thing
1 x 12 foot glider maybe hollow wood construction

What I would like to buy :

1 x Dick Brewer or Owl Chapman Sunset gun (9 foot and over only)
1 x Gerry Lopez lightning Pipe board
1 x Wayne Lynch Evolution board
1 x Outer Island V2 flex gun, 7'6 and over only

As Tux said - This could go on forever however right now I want/need:

1 x shortboard hybrid (NPJ Quartet, McCallum Quagg or similar)
1 x Shortboard (Danny Hess Ranger)
1 x twin fin (Gary McNeil Rasta Taurus Twin or similar)
1 x Glider 11-12 foot range - Josh Hall makes some fantastic ones.
1 x 10 foot nose rider by Creative Army

The shortboard hybrid will be the next purchase as it is essential. The rest will come as soon as I can sneak them past my wife....

I would like to order more surf time first. Even though I now live somewhere with very consistent high quality waves I still find there is not enough hours in the day to justify having any more boards than I do. I pretty much ride one board 90% of the time - its versatile and fun and gets the job done. I know that when the trades start to pick up though I am going to want a bigger board that can handle some wind and wave chop. So that will be ordered at some point. Personally though I think you can end up with too many boards if you are not careful. Keep it simple. Especially if you have to drive to the beach. If you just look out at the water and can make the call and have a selection of boards close by then its great. If you have to pack three or 4 in the car every time that sucks. I used to take two boards to the beach all the time just in case. But it annoyed me. Sometimes I wish I had the 3rd or 4th with me as well.

Whilst I agree, it is easier in theory I have found - I spent a good 12 months with just 1 board, it was a HP long board. Whilst it covered most conditions I was in, I still had the itch for a board more suited to that specific day.

Oh and its an addiction buying boards - the anticipation of the first surf on it, going over the order in your head, day dreaming about the ride etc....

1 board is never enough - esp a HP one at that just think that some people get caught up in the moment and have too many for the amount of time they surf and their skill set. Sure its nice to have lots of boards but are they all required? I have cut down my selection a lot in the last 6 months and have no regrets about getting rid of any of them. I watch Indo fellas who can only afford one board ride them from waist high to double overhead plus and it does not bother them one bit if its glassy or windy - they still rip it up. They just get on with it.

Ive got a mr 6 ft ff. Cw 9.6 log

Want a 8.7 submoon. A 7 ft mct bob sled quad- one the most unreal looking boards ive ever seen.

Ordered a 6.4 mr bush ranger. a lightweight wombat mark 2 6.2as opposed to the heavier pigment job. Unreal in messy uneven waves

Still thinking about a 5.10 or less wide arse groveller small beachie board like lost ro or puddle jumper

Have a 6'10" Nugget. Great board, surprising how tight they hold in steep waves. You will love it.

how do you find the submoons? assuming you mean the firewire model I've looked at them, but not enough information available to make an informed decision.

Well. I liked the 8.7 I was demoing. Each wave it just got better and better.
My last one I made my last wave because I could not have aurfed a longer board better.

Easy paddle and gets waves as good as any mal. Does nose ride too.

Im getting one even tho I had no real plans too.

Ive checked reviews. Mixed bag on mixed sizes of the submoon.

From what I could sèe the longer versions had more likers

On the McT website, the Bobsled has been moved into the "Archive" section which is the home of the models that aren't made anymore, i think.

http://www.mctavish.com.au/surfboards/archive

However, there are still some older ones available with the swallow tail and, yes, some GREAT looking new rounded pins.

www.mctavish.com.au/surfboards-buy/midlength/bobsled

No explanation of the change that I can see, but it looks significantly different - and better.

You can still order the models in the archive section.

The Bobsled Lacey is referring to is the all new model and a new Tracker to follow.

An example why the cull of sorts.

The Fireball Model came in the following.

Cheers Mac. Good to know I can still get a Screwdriver.
I still think it's odd that they've revamped the model without any new info at all. Maybe testing the waters/market.
