Gday Crew, just interested in knowing your opinions on what makes a good log, dimensions etc and what conditions they are best suited to, I am currently riding a 9'8 pintail which is 23 1/4 x 2 7/8 and loving it, but am thinking about a 10 footer.
Cheers

I reluctantly share this log... flawless by the look of it...
I am tempted, and I live close to this magnificent example of a Longboard (Log).

Weight; you can't have a light log, they just don't go proper.

I dont understand the log must be 9,6 equation Mac what if you are 5 foot and 60 kilos like little ferret across the road. I think his Dewey Webber log is 9,2 x 22 ish 2 something I think it all depends on your size. When he used to jump on my 8ball it was like a HP longboard for him

I think a 100 kilo bloke walking all over a 9,6 log is doing a way harder job than a little fella the size of Lacey say

log generally is classified as 9ft+ flat, heavy, no fancy underside configuration e.g. like concave double concave etc but more traditional like flat, rolled, rolled V

officially in log contests the board cant have any hard edges for e.g. some longboards have hard edge tail

i think thats generally it.

Usually if it has a name like the SS something or HMAS you can class it as a log...unless your big spazz in which case anything under 12 foot is a mini simmons
