I guess I should thank OB for this. On the Saturday at Point Plomer he let me ride his 10'6" Munoz, then Sunday I rode his 10' Pearson Arrow, before it changed from a board to a glider and lifted off the car on the highway. As was mentioned, I made a greedy pig of myself on the Munoz, and had almost as much fun on the Arrow at Arrawarra the following day.

Once I was finished all my business on the Goldy - thanks again for the hospitality of Mac, Chrispy and Lacey at LM and Mr Steve Del Rosso and the lads at the BBQ following - I made my way south again, stopping at a lot of the likely spots for board shops on the lookout for something in the cheaper 10 foot plus range.... Yes, the Munoz and the Arrow spoiled me considerably, and I wasn't stopping until I found something.

I stopped for the night at Woopi, surfed Arrawarra in the morning, then mooches my way to home in Dee Why on the Wednesday. No board shops had anything remotely like what I wanted, not that I really knew what that was....

On the Goldy I had stopped in at Diverse at Tugun and I kind of liked the way they dealt with my kook questions and lack of real knowlege. I also liked their designs.

Scouring the web for anything over 10 foot, I discovered this in the Trading Post and drove back up to Newcastle yesterday to check it out, and ultimately buy it.

Diverse 10'1" x 23 3/4 x 3 1/2 - concave from nose to mid section, rolled rails and a tucked square tail with a bit of a kick. I think it's the JB Classic, with The Dynocore, but not totally sure yet. It's about a year old and included a leash and bag for about a third of the new price. too good to resist.

So far, only two sessions, both today in choppy 2 - 3 foot and it's a pearler, well, for me it is and a couple of the locals thought so as well. Picks up waves easily, and hangs on, bottom turns are smooth and trimming is great.

No more pics yet, been too busy riding it.....

On the iPad, it's a tedious task putting all the photo links on one by one, so here's the link to more shots, plus some of this morning's surf at the local. Was nice early, but the NE got into it about an hour into the session.... The concensus was that it was over 6 foot with some huge clean up sets. The Diverse seemed to handle itself pretty well, even though the surf was bigger than recommended for it.

That's a nice looking board Michael!
Lots to love about it... 10 feet... nice concaves, and smooth chines up front. Would be nice and settled when up the front.

Looks fun out the back too. A subtle Vee through the tail, allows you to roll rail to rail... Looks like a keeper. I would love to have a ride on that thing. Plus I would be proud to walk with that thing under my arm!

Nice board Michael, glad you made the jump, you were having too much fun out PP to have not got one over 10ft.

Did you go for a wave in Newy?

Nice photos 2, big fan of the red and black, great colour combo.

No SP, I was in Newy Monday arvo, howling easterly meant it was ****e all over, plus I didn't get finished with the purchase until 6.30pm.

Simondo, It's a great thing, I had it out in biggish, very messy stuff yesterday and it was much less of a handful than I expected, very settled. You're welcome to a arise of you ever get to the Northern Beaches.
