Got a call on Tuesday to say the board was finished!
About 2-3 weeks ahead of predicted time too. Apparently the crew were heading off for an Indo trip, so cranked out the work.
Picked it up this morning, and was in the water 30 min later.
Conditions weren't great - top of the tide and a bit windy.
New board, so I was a bit tentative, trying to wait for just the right waves and find the right position on the board.
Paddles like a dream, as you'd expect from such a large board.
First wave, I was blown away by just how the board boogied. Turns beautifully. You'd never pick that it was such a large board (pitched as a 'mini-glider').
Absolutely stoked with it.

Thanks Macaha - I'm stoked with it. I tried to follow you, and have them use the same colours as they did on my Cruz. Keep it to a theme. I can spot your used boards in any line up! Both colours on the new one are a few shades lighter than I had in my head, but it still looks great.
As I said in a different post - working with Josh on this was an absolute pleasure. I called him to order a completely different board (which would have cost more than this one - so he wasn't 'upselling'). Had a great long chat and we settled on this one. He knew what I wanted/needed better than I did. When I picked it up this morning, he ran through the additional tweaks he made for me.

I still need to give it a decent run, but first impressions are that the board is everything and more than I expected.
(also my first board that's not a square tail)

Bloody nice-looking board
Thats classic the crew cranking out the work which also means they are getting paid before indo trip.

Na not rushed - done properly.
As a former board builder you alter your hours to suit. Seasonal but could do 12 hour days but also hours on water while resin curing.
Enjoy

I think I may have seen that board or something very similar at Burleigh Heads on Saturday. Chap seemed very happy, had a quick chat, nice fella and great looking board.

That was me and the board!
and thanks for the quick chat - interestingly, I got onto Creative Army boards after contacting Josh about the NL Tea Tree. He was involved in the design as a team rider (from memory). The first board he made
for me sorta sits between the Tea Tree and an In The Pink.

Not that I designed it, but Josh's/Creative Army's 'The Cruz' coincidently merges my fave aspects of the ITP with the Tea Tree.
