I have ordered ( wait for it ) another Mc, this one is based on the Fireball Evolution
with a tucked in nose. I've gone for 9.1 x 22 7/8 x 2 7/8 with a 6 inch centre fin.
The Evolution has more rocker than my current FB and I have dropped the dimensions
all around including the fin.

I've changed my mind after lengthy discussions with the shaper and we are going for 9.3x23x3 Razar with a MR fin set up.

Gidday mac........what's the thinking behind the change ?

Well,the board I snapped a JC mac custom never really did it for me.It was based on a Razar but with a flatter rocker and more volume. I wanted something loser than my FB and for some reason it would not turn as sharp as the FB. So I spoke with the guys at Dukes and we agreed a FB Evolution with some modi factions would work, but that was mainly me thinking it would So to give me peace of mind I contacted the boy's at mac and after a long debate I went for there advice.
Hell they know what their doing and they know I have experimented over the years seeking that all time performance board for a 95 keggie.mac

I saw an old guy on a new FB at Longy on Friday, the board was smoke’n hot and it had brilliant graphics all over it. It looked as if it was the first time it had wax on it.

Problem was, you could see the guy was a long way from ever being able to ride it and I really mean a long way. And not just that, he had the poops in a big way.

I know because I tried to start up a conversation with him in the hope that I could give him a hand or at least tell him not to give up but you could tell from his reaction that he was already jack of this surf’n business.

I hate it when I see that because sometimes they blame the board and we know that’s not the case, if anything, blame the salesman.

The guy probably said to the salesman “I did a bit of surfing when I was a kid”.

I wanted to tell him to hang the mac up in the pool room, go out and get an old board with lots of volume or better still a really big soft top. Do 6 months of good hard learning and possibly drop a few kg then go back to the FB.

I had the distinct feeling that that beautiful board was going to end up stored some place where he would never have to look at it again.
