Hey guys, doing a trip to indo next month. Just wondering if can recommend a good hire place for a scooter or bike and racks for a longboard, and any experiences riding round with a big board? Little worried about getting around with such a big board. Most time will be spent in bali around canggu area.

Cheers

Dont do it just hire a car and driver its to much trouble and very dangerous to be riding a bike with a board strapped to the side and even more so with a longboard. The streets and roads are to small and very crowded.

Go and speak to a few hire car joints. Get friendly, and ask if they can either provide a guide, or a driver. Also, chat to some of the surfboard hire guys, and tell them you need to hire a car, and would also like a guide. A young guy "Rian" showed us around on one trip. It was 1000% better having a guy who knew his way around, too us to some great locals only type places. We saw places in Bali that normal people don't see.

Alternate, pack some soft racks....

If I had a Longboard on a Bike, I would have the nose just forward of the normal "short board position", and let an extra 2 feet hang out the back. Shouldn't be a problem.

Good advice.

Hire a driver cheap as chips,if your serious about the best guy in town PM me,I trust him with my life 24/7,new van no racks required, smoking music or if your taste is a little wild he will have by the next day.
Roger is his name I have used him for years

And unlike some many drivers who say yes sir I know where that place is,Roger knows all the breaks.
