I'm new to the forum, have been a voyeur for too long!

The wife and I are driving across from Perth to Melbourne, then up to Forster NSW and back in Dec/Jan. Looking to hit a few breaks on the way and wanted to know where some nice ones were. I'm pretty new to the sport, so I'm not looking for massive waves, just nice long lines.

Around the northern beaches of Sydney I don't tend to stray far from my locals.

Dee Why to Longreef and around the corner at Collaroy, I may go as far south as CurlCurl but the banks down there are kind of flukey.

Although I never go there anymore, my favorite mal wave is at the north end of Avalon and it's got an outstanding elevator rip with a left off the rocks or a right to the south once you're out there.

If you're between Sydney & Newcastle, Soldiers Beach is often worth a look, the southern end is my fav.

Don't really know of much else until Scotts Head and you're not going that far.
