GPA - no dowels - they do not do them over here. The local boys fix a fair few boards and are pretty good at it. Its not uncommon here to see 5 boards snapped on a good day and 10 on a not so good day. This place loves eating boards.
Cuttlefish - lets just say I got absolutely flogged by a nice 5 footer (old style measurement) on a super low tide. A shame as it was perfect and just 4 of us out. 3 of us snapped boards that session.
Mick - only surfed that board half a dozen times since I been here - not had enough big swells when I have been here. Its been a pretty poor season compared to last year with lots of smaller / medium days and a few huge days (which lucky I have missed a few of
). The Nano works well up to double overhead. It holds a rail nicely and handles the speed most of the time. I have been really surprised how well its goes in all conditions. Its an incredible board. I have probably ridden it 95% of the time. Thats what convinced me to get Tux to make me an improved / more tailored version of the MPH design.
smh - hopefully tom but have a pretty busy work schedule these next few days so it may be the day after. Will see what the morning brings and when the wind gets up. Will be avoiding the low tide early thats for sure - especially with the big moon
Ricardo - I have watched a lot of boards getting repaired these last 6 months. The PU boards are about 10 times easier than the epoxy ones. Lots of time and effort involved when they are that smashed. A clean break is normally fixed here that afternoon if you on good terms with the boys and there has not been too many breakages that day. Bring them over
