Snagged Avalon today good 2 to 3 foot, only six of us shortboarders out! mixing it with a thousand longboarders, sometimes five per wave

mac, DL no lie about the Longboard to Shortboard ratio at Avalon, it can get quite ridiculous, especially when all the metros descend on it like they did this weekend.

However I don't know about it being good I checked it Saturday and it was so fickle considering it was a 3m swell running. I showed hoping it was going to be solid as and the carpark full of guys coz it was too big to go out...it was not to be. Secrets was fun it felt so good to have some head high waves land on your head for a change - bring on winter!!

Hows the surf guy's?
We have had a great run over the past few weeks on the GC!
and the surf shops are doing a roaring trade!

Also, there is an avalon in WA, and the ratio of long to short boards is exactly as DL describes it
