Hey All,
Chasing some advice on a whim.
Long story short: Took up surfing 18 months ago (thereabouts).
Introduced my 11 daughter to it, she loves it.
Wife is keen on it when I push her into waves at Waikiki, otherwise she's SUP'ing (on the flat).
On the weekend, after spending some time helping my daughter trying to ride an old short board, we grabbed the Wife-Boss's SUP.
My daughter and I had a freakin' ball riding that SUP tandem. Bloody hard to paddle though, at 32", or whatever it is.
So much fun, I'd been keen on getting my hands on a more suitable board.
Let's face it, it's worth it to keep the kids in the water and off the damn iPad!
Anyway, I rock a svelte 100 kg. I sometimes question if my 10'2" NSP is suitable for my lady-like frame, so I have no idea where to start for a tandem board. The wife weighs in at about 50 kg (actually, about 55 kg, but don't tell her I sadi that!).
Assuming that the wife will spend time on the board, if she doesn't read the above comment on her weight, we'd be rolling with 150-160 kg. That'll take a significant board. I'm guessing 12', at least?
Who has thoughts/experience?
Cheers!

I think you said in another thread that you rented an 11' Munoz and you liked it, why don't you see if you can get the 12 and see if that works?
Not sure of the width, I think it may be 27", the web site that sells them should list it. I think one of our member did a link to it, maybe CNC.

The Munoz was a hire board while holidaying in Wakiki. Happy to head over there just to rent the board, but may not go down too well.
Also, the 12' Munoz rocks in at 12' X 26.25 X 4.3.
I found this in my searching today, on the International Tandem Surfing Association: ?"Most professional tandem teams ride custom shaped boards now, but for several years our top teams competed on the C4 Waterman Stand'em model (11'6" x 29" x 4 7/8")."
Thats got some volume! And that's with the 'top' teams!
