I posted this morning re textile quality but deleted it,I just couldn't be bothered today.

Yes I went to read it.

Frankly Mac, just as it does for you I'm confused as to peoples position on these things. Are they all public servants with no concept of profit being essential to actually run a business?

If I had the energy I'd spell out the retail supply chain with some average gross and net margins on things but I fear that it's probably not appropriate but even more that no one would talk notice anyway.

I hear you CMC,I was involved in textiles for over 25 years, you could pay wholesale 5 bucks per meter or 28 bucks a meter for similar looking fabric and the average punter would question the difference in price, the 5 buck rag would last 2 years max and the expensive would last 10.Same as foam, cheap would last 6 months and quality up to 10 years.

Anyway I'm off to finish unloading a 40 foot container full of quality product

I question the term "TV Stars" although SP would probably agree as he loves that show I guess it just proves the point that they are Shire Blow in's. I can not believe that the chick in the orange pants who seemed to start it all had a knife in her back pocket (expecting trouble?) and then seemed so smooth in drawing it out of her pocket and being prepared to use it. She looked like she had down that before - no fear what so ever. I hate knives. In the UK they used to be a massive problem and they changed the laws with heavy penalties for carrying them in public - it seemed to slow the rate down pretty quickly. I recall reading some article a few years back that the people who get injured form the knife fights are normally the ones who were carrying the knife in the first place and decided to bring it out.

I also loved it how everyone stood around for a while before making an effort to break it up - gotta get yr fix first!! Although to be honest if someone was wielding a knife I would be a little stand offish as well. What the hell is the world coming to.
