I'm sure someone on here had one.... how do you like it ?

Anyone thought of trying it?

My hp I use two big front fins and a little shark fin and it is so good.

Was thinking on a allrounder type board how would they go

Not a twin.. but I used S9s with a S3 centre pushed right up in the box for a while, good summer setup for small junky waves. .. Acceleration plus but a lot of fin for my lightweight frame to push around so I went back to some smaller sides.

Bloke down here rides a twin LB, glassed on fins. Seems to go ok.

Whenever I see them around my way, they always seem to be done as an enlarged swallow tail fish. They look to have a nice turn of speed down the line, but I can't say I noticed anything special about their turning.

They are like those dodgy diet pills, if they worked everybody would be popping them

If you have a longboard that has a quad set up, just get a set of MRs and put them in the trail quad plugs.

Change a boards fins and theres a different sensation, nothing wrong with a 2+2 set up either(meaning smaller leading fins)

How do they surf with smaller fronts then rears? Fast? Loose?
Be Interesting to give it a go.

Guess it raise the question of peoples current favourite fin setups? I'm a big fan if the Clearwater 2+1in my normal LB and the Christenson captain fin as single or 2+1 in smaller boards.

I had one in the early 80's but was too inexperienced to tell the difference. Of course thrusters arrived & were all the rage. Twinnies were almost forgotten. But have made a big comeback with people revisiting and tweaking old designs.

I'd certainly try one if given the chance for free. But I wouldn't opt to buy one coz I like a lot of fin. Been favouring quads on shorties the last few years. But a couple of customs I'm picking up in a 17 days are thrusters. So looking forward to seeing how that goes. Actually thinking of going a couple of large sides with a cut away rear to see how that goes...but I digress

They reckon quads are like twinnies on roids, so would definately like to compare. But I think you need a board that has been designed for twins to get the benefits. One with channels would be awesome

I've only ridden twins decades ago but never on anything over 6'4"..
My quad set up on an 8' has a lot of fin "area" in total but is loose and smooth
I'd really like to try one of Nigel Beckhams twins though..

What I want to know is, how do "those" people who send me emails advertising penis enlargement pills, know I have a small penis? Did you tell them Mac?

Much faster and looser than a 2+1...not as loose as a normal quad but more drive.

A centre fin is always part of the action when ya transition from rail to rail,so that big area centre fin slows the reaction.

With a normal Quad on a longboard theres not much holding the tail in when yr on the nose, with the larger fins in the rear plugs, nose riding is "almost" like a 2+1....rail shape has a lot to do with it too.

I've been using my Twin Keel Fish a hell of a lot lately. Forgot how much fun it was as i hadnt used a lot over the last year. Fast, fun and adaptable. Haven't ridden a twinny with more conventional fins though for a long time.
