It seems the older I get the more crazy I have become.

On the swell Sunday looks ok-ish, knee still sore but may have to have a paddle early tomorrow as mac is hosting a fair-well BBQ in the arvo.

Any where you can surf with out a wettie........ Oh and no rain would be nice- it's ugly as down here at the moment.

I say I've got time but some how I've got crap the next 3 weekends running and with a grain of luck would like to have a job by the end of that. Though I would like a road trip week(end) before I get into another job.

I'd just say where and when your heading and I'll make it work if I can.

I'm a possibility,

I've agreed to stay on at work until Tuesday 15th so I can help with a job over the long weekend but after that I may not be needing to start a new job until the end of June.

Maybe even the end of July if I get the job I want, (just today I got offered a cracker of a new building down at Darling Harbour, 60,000 m2 and 6 green stars)

Things are looking up.

No wetty eh CC??? I guess that rules out Bells

I agree, no wetty in good.

I guess anywhere north of Port Macquarie right up until late August is often no wetty time.

BB.top spot, the only problem i encountered when camping were the kids i think, knocking off wetsuits, camp chairs and piss out of the eskies when we were at the bowls club.

Who mentioned camping !!!! I am way too old for that stuff Pretty sure evans has nice cabins - only for security reasons of course - no mention of comfy beds/heaters/fridge/showers etc. Broken also has great cabins and a few nice surf options nearby.

My biggest problem is sat/sun's being work days but if there is anyone who has maybe thur/fri's off I can do that way more easily.

Trying to get out of sailing to get up there on the long weekend - got in contact with the Cresent Heads caravan park and they have sites available still.

Is it true what obct says, "no wettie north of Port Macquarie"?

My much anticipated trip over there to the Goldie in July will be so much better in just boardies and a rashie. I don't really feel the cold that much (being Norwegian originally).

If I can get away without a wettie look out for an idiot in the water wearing boardies and a rashie, as well as booties ( long story but it makes sense to me).

A lot depends on how you handle cold and what the wind chill is but, yes, some do surf all year round with nil or minimal rubber.

When I used to surf Avalon all the time, there was this one logger who would be out in boardys every weekend no mater what. The dude used to creep me out.

Is that because he was wearing short boardies or did he snuggle up to you for warmth between sets?

Mostly because we would need rubber from head to toe and just walking across the sand on a winters morning was enough to turn your toes to 10 little ice cubes (or 13 in the case of my brother in laws family)

He had the strangest board, a new mal, flat as your mums ironing board with 3 of the thickest stringers you could get and at least 10'.

The thing was, there was nothing to him, he would struggle to make 5'9" and a good wind would knock him over.

He would sit out the back with both feet dangling on just one side of this log and if nothing was happening he could almost generate a ride-able wave by farting and jumping on one of the ripples.
