Hey guys. I live in Yeppoon, QLD. I am fairly new to surfing so I was wondering what's your favourite brand? how do you know which one is good. Cheers. Pat

I've had a Creatures of Leisure leggy that I've had out in up to triple over heap quite a few times & its still going after 7 years & looks fine. I use that in bigger waves.

Then I have 3 other cheapies. One long thick one I use with my 666 (SUP) & a couple of thin 6' thin leggies they call comp leggies. Fine for anything under head & 1/2 or not so powerful waves. They go for about $25 with delivery on Ebay...I don't have a favourite brand, I just go for what seems like a good price at the time. I guess Creatures of Leisure are always a decent price & a lot of people like Balin. I wouldn't pay over $45 & would expect one for free & a deck grip if I was buying a new board from your typical surf shop. But I never do that...get a thicker one if your using it with anything other than a short board.

Balin are very good, I used them for about 1 year on 2 boards, but I just recently changed back to O&E even though they're about $5 more because I like the big loop on the O&E that you use to take it off your ankle. Balin have a flat tab and it's not as easy to grab.

Creatures. Everything else seems to snap easier. Plus they make a 9mm leggie if you are that way inclined.

Same. Love them. I buy 4 of them every year on my birthday - as I hate having to change them before a surf - having 4 reduces this issue! It's my present to myself to stop the inevitable. I have broken one in the last 5 years. That was a hell of a swim in - got smashed. Changing them frequently saves my boards and me. I give the old ones away to the local kids who love it. I like them as they never seem to tangle and have held up well with what they normally go through and they never seem to get under my feet.

O&E 100% for the win...
Cream surf wax - whoever caught me onto that on this forum, THANKS! It is the best by far, I always find myself mid paddle out putting my nose close to my board for a sniff! Hahaha
