They are absolute machines, nothing really worries them.
Scary thing is that they are not just limited to the icy waters, they have been spotted following Whales up the WA coast all the way up to Exmouth!
There was a photo on the net and it was on the news a year or two ago I think. That means it travelled past the entire coast following the migration hoping to pick up a sick calf.

And I've always found it very strange that for some reason they don't consider us lunch.
They're probably clever enough to know we're not very tasty or maybe they're just fussy eaters.
I do know they are separated into two distinct groups, those that eat fish and those that eat mammals and the two groups tend to have nothing to do with each other.
It's even speculated that they're on the road to becoming two separate species.
