Yesterday afternoon I took my trusty Aldi bicycle for a little ride to check the surf at the Noosa Points. In case you were wondering it takes me about 5 minutes.

First Point had a nice set wave about waist plus high And a pretty big group in the water. Well it is holiday season after all.

There were several very good noseriders out there and the usual bunch of surfers trying to get a wave.

I was chatting with a person I know a little bit and each time one of the good surfers had a wave I got " there goes
Matt ....., Harrison is on that one, " etc etc etc

Is it just me or do others not care who it is? I would rather hear wow he/she is surfing well or look at that cross step etc

I have never been a name dropper or a hero worshipper and have trouble with the concept.

Opinion please.

Love big guys that surf. A lot of them are really light on their feet!!

i hate to say it but maybe the Snake is right.

Maybe it is tall poppy syndrome ? Though one thing I noticed about all of these " names" is that they are all short.
