need some info on mermaid beach. i'm staying there for 1 week mid january,and workin 8 to 5 every day.is it worth taking my board over,as i wont have a car .limited to walking to beach from park view motel.thanx guys.

If the wind gets a bit of nthly in it Mermaid has some of the best surfing on the Goldy - no need to waste your time fighting for waves with old men and kids on the points - you will have a blast mate.

there is no waves here. yet when we do go to snapper. you will find it pretty easy,just look for 400000000000000000000 people in the line up.
