I notice the very first longboard he ran into the surf with was a 9'1" Tolhurst tuflite.
I wanted one of those because I liked the plan shape but I knew it wouldn't do a good job of keeping me above the water so I decided on the 9'6".
I like the way the 9'6" goes but I sometimes wish it had the same volume but with the 9'1" plan shape.
It's hard to tell for sure but those islands and headlands in the background make it look as if a lot of the footage was taken at his home break at Emerald. I know the vid says he's at home but within 2 kliks either side of Emerald there's just some amazing breaks and that's not even taking into account all the spots north of back beach woopi.
