Mines a Mathew Keene California style log. 10' x 24" x ?. No dims on the board and don't know how to measure thickness. Pinched 50/50 rail single fin log.

I showed it to a local shaper at our point break, he said he'd never heard of Mathew Keene. Perhaps someone from the sunshine coast Qld might shed some light, I believe he is from up that way.

Matt's from Brisvegas.
He's up here regularly to shape the Pacer models for Beachbeat here on the Sunshine coast.
The Pacer model in log lengths is an old school/new skool mix I believe.
The hottest seller in the Pacer genre is their beautifully foiled midlengths eggs....That's right...midlengths naysayers!
Their 6'6"s and 7'ers are selling like hotcakes.

I was up in Melbourne today, working with my favorite Engineers... Quote of the week...

The context: there's some auditors coming in on Monday, and me and a mate Nick are chatting about just sh!t...

Engineer walks past and jokes, "do some work guys, there's auditors coming in on Monday... ... ... or at least start practicing that you're working!"... (pretend you're working!)... Well we thought it was pretty funny!

The cross step has had me perplexed for a year. I did give up easily until I was teased that much a few weeks ago I had no choice......I wish now I tried harder when I started. The going back part is still a bit like me being pissed and hitting a banana peel most times but so challenging and fun....the more vids and good surfers I watch, well the more I hoot. It really is fn hard, and looks so easy when done by the stylish peeps

you had some good points - number one was just start doing it.

for me you have to be perfectly balance on that front foot. if your not you can't lift the back foot though to the front- the first movement being the hardest.

second- there are sections or places where your board is in relation to the wave and how much water you have around the board. if the board is 'flooded' with water alround the rails its good to go i find

or the inside rail locked into the wave face

be patient and wait for the right time and place(still a big work in progress)

third- obviously the more you do it the more you learn about it.

fourth- its all fun. baby steps atm but learning and the rate of improvement in the early stages is gold

cheers

ps i want to be able to do one of those real classly cross step stance cutacks

Haha you nailed it lacey. Truly hooked on longboarding again since my bagging....and getting some progress..

My ultimate goal is to cross step then go backwards switch to a switch cutback then finishing in natural....sounds way complicated typed.....but i think it about all the stages in my head. Joel Tudor does it really niceI'm hoping I can do it tomorrow, or within the next 50 years yeeeeeoooooooooow
