http://www.cisurfboards.com/sb_waterhog.aspI really doubt you could do a reo on it like you could on your shortboard, but then on the waves it seems to be designed for, you wouldn't even be on the wave at all on your shortboard.
Basically, wide boards are ****house for doing turns off the top, but good for cutbacks. To get them to go rail to rail, you need to step your front foot across to the other rail (due to the width). This is fine when doing a cutty, because you have heaps of time, but don't expect to be doing any tail slide reos... there just isn't time to reposition yourself.
If you are surfing fat, crap waves, then I reckon it would probably be ok.
If you are surfing good waves, maybe something like this would be better?
