geez, 104 kg on a 7'2", that's a big ask.

I take it you've been surf'n for a fair while and can paddle strongly and snap to your feet quickly?

Have you checked out the 'What size board' thread on the Short Board forum... there's some comments there on the 7S 7'3" 'Super Fish XL'...

I'm 42yo and 108kg... the 7S paddles better than my 7'6" mini-mal and is looser to boot... I'm very happy with it.

Nope - just impressed with the board... and offering options to others that may not be aware or have considered it. It's called being helpful.

I assume you have seen what Al has to say: http://www.cisurfboards.com/sb_waterhog.asp

I really doubt you could do a reo on it like you could on your shortboard, but then on the waves it seems to be designed for, you wouldn't even be on the wave at all on your shortboard.

Basically, wide boards are ****house for doing turns off the top, but good for cutbacks. To get them to go rail to rail, you need to step your front foot across to the other rail (due to the width). This is fine when doing a cutty, because you have heaps of time, but don't expect to be doing any tail slide reos... there just isn't time to reposition yourself.

If you are surfing fat, crap waves, then I reckon it would probably be ok.

If you are surfing good waves, maybe something like this would be better? www.cisurfboards.com/sb_bigwilly.asp

Also, I don't know what dimensions your 6'6 is, but you can really pack in a lot of extra volume (float) without going much longer... check out what Dave Verrall has to say about it: www.diversesurf.com.au/difference/difference/volume.php

Hope that helps
