surf this morning. get home, eat, check the breeze, reply to one smart arse (mac).

late morning nanny power kip till about 1.30. go for another surf- very fun waves off the point, getting dc 8'8 cracking- about time, no enough surfing lately.

noticed the winds gone south, go home and get the mighty bullet for a late afternoon dw run, walk the board back home from the pirate pk, taxi back to car, pickup pizza, garlic beard and diet coke for $14.95, consume while reading the paper

how was your day

Had one last melancholy stroll down the boulevard
One last capuccino at the damespot
Another last glimpse of the Pacific

Is yours the Boardworks version of The Bullet? Or from Maui? And do you know if there is much difference? I would have thought that the differences were minor, and obviously the Boardworks dimensions are stock standard... But that would probably be just fine for me.

PS - Mac, an 8'8 is kind of longish! Well into the 'mid-length' category! What's that, you stand-up on it!? Yeah, well you're meant to stand-up when you surf.... what... you stand up on it out the back waiting for waves!

boardworks if thats where they come from. mark( that sic guy) spent some months setting it up. mine weighs about 14 kgs which is really good for a board that size and volume. i did see a 14' bullet from maui and the construction looked pretty much the same as far as i could see. i think the rudder, foot pedels etc come from maui.

we had some nice period swell and south wind today and it fitted in so niceeeeeeely

but i digress- sorry hardcore crew

mate, one of the great unknown pleasures is going for a walk around the beaches at dusk or having a quite carpark beer with mates after a late arvo surf and just soak it all in.

all life problems just disappear and you realise how good we have.

Morning sesh with some buddies at Kiddies Corner, first on the noserider then I grabbed the 10'6" and really started to be a wave hog.

I like it when daylight saving ends because my Sunday morning surfs go for much longer before I have to be at the shops to help with the groceries at 9.

Back home to fix the doggy door, while I was cutting the plastic molding for the side rails I sliced through my finger so perfectly I reckon it took a good minute before it stated to bleed, then it would not stop.

Back down to Longy in the arvo with another couple of buddies and a good sesh with all 3 of us on our noseriders.

Then the long 1 hour drive over to mums place to give her a hand for an hour or so before the 1 hour drive back home. She had a fall some weeks back and was not feeling too clever for a long time so I have to go over there every couple of days to do my share.

Good news is, I'm feeling rooted from all the surfs (a feeling I like) and mum looks to be on the mend.

So it was a good weekend as far as I'm concerned.
