no,this guy i know has heaps and restores them for resale,whats a reasonable price

In good condition, lets use Simos 1-100 scale. Lets say MR twin fin late 70s at 75/100 I would think $500-$900. If it was one that he rode during one of his winning years $1000-$2000 maybe.

If the MR had the Superman spray I'd say about $25K at least.

It all depends on the significance of the board in history, Simons original thruster etc. Or a rare logo etc.

If it's just a stock singley or 80's board in great nic maybe $600.

In the mid 90's I picked up a Lopez gun from a garage sale on Bribie Is from an old couple for $ 15 bucks.
It was in pretty good nick for its age, couple of backyard dings on the rails and the fin was snapped but still hanging by the glass on one side.
It was about 7'6" x 19 x 3 ?? with the biggest chunkiest rails ever seen.
Green spray on the bottom and the famous red lightning bolt in the centre of the deck around the chest area. Pre legrope also Get my drift.
I took it home and did a fin repair in the shed and drilled a hole in the fin for a leggie cord.
Young and DUMB mistake NO 1.
I surfed it for a while, man was it fast but you needed a tugboat to turn it.
Then about 6 months later I got a job offer down south and had move. So even DUMBER Mistake NO 2 I took it along with a whole heap of other stuff to the tip out at Narangba
Being Young 20-21 and a fool i didnt realy know what i had at the time until about 5 years later.
How stupid.

Just had a look at Zuke's link, now I am even more pissed at myself.

A mate of mine up the road has a mid to late 60's takiama scorpion in fairly good (for age) unrestored condition. He has mentioned a while back he was thinking of off loading it
But I don't think he was to serious at the time, and he probably wont let me get a look in anyway as I know what he got it for, and it was a steal.
