Going in July next year.
any of you been?I know it will be cold but how cold?4/3 and hood n booties cold????

At least.

You left out the option of 5/4 and gloves. And there are booties and there are booties. Get some good thermal booties, not the same booties for up north or Indo.

yeah same with the hood. The fleece lined are a must for warmth and comfort.

Grew up there, not that different to Aus depending on where you're surfing. Auckland and above think winter Sapphire Coast temps, below Auckland and Coromandel down to Wellington think winter Vic. Wellington down to Christchurch would be like surfing winter in Hobart. Never surfed anywhere below Christchurch as it's too farking cold..
