little tired of the cliched american lets intro surfing to the masses docos. I went to this movie expecting Jacks best footage and allot of it wasnt even his. There was some sick segments like Shippies, Derek Hynd, Chopoo etc..
aparently Kelly invented the quad? There was no mention of guys like Laird Ham, Tom Carrol , Tom Curren, the bull?

I vote North Shore best cliched surf flick ever sorry jack.
Yep it was a total load of crap, interesting bit of history about the Hawaiians back in the day, but wasnt worthy of the big screen, I walked out embarrassed that I dragged my surf mates to go and see it, they thought I was a kook by the end of it.
I was holding out since it was another bra boy production and I think they are just thugs and bogans But this movie was freaking excellent!
The point where it shows that running around getting blind and on drugs and then getting in fights eventually leading to prison or death should be watched by a lot off young men in school. It was very similar to the path I was heading in my early 20s.
All so the part where Mark Mathews gets his balls back after his accident, inspirational!
