I'm falling apart as I'm getting older and now can't see too well when out on foil I have been thinking H2O trailblazer glasses with prescription lenses has anyone had experience of them.

Contacts out of the question?

I've worn contacts the whole time, for 6 years, and they fit surprisingly well. Eating it in shorebreak, crashing at my intermediate sub 30kt speeds, they've stayed where they should be.

I wear contacts all the time as well, and like aero says, I’ve never had an issue with losing them. I have even opened eyes underwater when I’ve really had to and they stayed put, but probably a bit of luck on that one.

But if you’re not into the idea of contacts I think prescription sunnies are the only other real way to go. I did wear them right back when learning, but as I got better I found there really wasn’t enough water flushing them and was ending up with a different variety of sight impairment.

Two short answers. Prescription sunnies, or surgery.

Good sunglasses work fine. There's a few methods to make them perform better and deal with water spots and fogging.

I had laser surgery in 1995 and my vision is still better than 20:20. Highly recommended.

I have older friends (in their 80's) and they've had cataract surgery. No glasses and excellent vision.

I’ve been using Ugly Fish with prescription lenses for a few years now. The arms can be interchanged with an included strap so they can be worn like goggles

Laser surgery was the best money I've ever spent.

Cataract surgery. Took care of the cataracts, and the new lenses had a prescription to correct my nearsightedness.

My contacts are OK up till 20 knots of wind, after that I have to take them out.
