I agree. Foiling in stormy winds has lots of advantages I reckon. Glide through wind holes, shlogging back if wind dies, speed limits on our wings, smaller more manageable sails, being above the chop....
but in less protected areas, where the seas can become big, I have had some struggles in very strong wind on the foil
Holy crap Azymuth! That was amazing. I was out on a 3.8 Sailworks Revolution in only 25mph+ and got blown off the water. It wasn't even fun. You made it look easy. Good on ya!
That's is CRANKING! and you made it look way too easy!
Biggest wind I have foiled in is 38 knots with a 3.7 (couple of years ago) it does make gybing a little touchy! your board was perfect for riding out those gusts but hat off to the pilot, full on froth!

It is not that good. When the wind is ragged, Aqua Rodeo starts on hydrofoil.

Maybe it depends on the type of foil? I have not found this with medium freeride foil and small sail, but it needs to be protected water.
