do u think that a 96l Hypersonic would be a good board for a 70Kg first time slalom board for racing in Moerton Bay

You'll have trouble getting it on the plane if wind is marginal, but once it goes, it will b one of last ones to drop off the plane. The board requires commitment and getting used to, and I mean getting used to lol.

Hello Kruza,

I am 75kgs and sail a hs96 with neil pryde rs6 7.2 and 6.2. I have done some slalom racing and have had a couple of 1st, 2nd and 3rd's. They are very capable on the straights and if it is slightly upwind you will do very well. If you push it hard around the gybe you should come out pretty well and hopefully win the race. This is the theory anyway.

Good luck

Carl

Hey Kruza

I'm 78 KG and with the right pumping technique can plane with a 8.4 on my 96L Hyper, when most guys on much larger volume boards can't. For a one board slalom solution you can beat them. Have had them for 3 seasons now so for any riding tips please ask or try Qldsalty.
