Hello again everyone, I have found a 2005 Starboard Carve 121 in my area that has been used only once. The seller is asking 800 American Dollars for it (906 Australian), which sounds like a good deal to me. Also he is selling a 2005 Sailworks retro sail that has never been used for $300. I don't know how much boards depreciate so I am wondering your opinion on it. Thanks!

2005 makes it 3 years old, $800 US sounds a little higher than I would be paying. You could get a current shape S Type off Keven Pritchard for around those dollars......check out his blog.

I recently purchased an 07 Carve from a shop for around $1800 Aus dollars.

Wow thanks, some good deals on there, but then it'd cost me an extra $100 for shipping, but still probably worth it.

Also I forgot to mention that he's including an extra fin and a board bag with the carve, don't know how much value that adds though.

I would get newer kit and pay a little more.
Fin and bag would add a bit to the deal, maybe $100....

The 2005 Carve was a great board, I sailed one last year, although it was a 111 ltr,

It looks like you are in the US, here in Australia there are few second hand options for boards in that size.

Let us know how you go, PS if you get the KP board, get him to sign it, will be better for resale :)
