Has anyone any ideas or know of any gear hire joints in Adelaide.
Flying over next weekend, and if it's windy the wife can go shopping!!...........
But then there's the shark issuesmmmmmmmmmmmm white pointers!
So where are the good spots, mainly flat water B and J, don't know the place real well so any pointers would be cool!.

Cheers in Advance

Go to Glenelg beach and just swim outside the breakers. that should solve a few problems.

Talk to Peter at Onboard surf, he would probably be your best bet.

You can sail off most of the beaches as there isnt much of a shore break but my favorite beach spot is somerton. You are on the food chain in SA. I am originally from WA and never once worried about sharks over there, but here it is a different story. IMHO the best spot for flat water is a place called boggy lake which is part of Lake Alexandrina and is about an hour from town. It is similar to sailing on the Swan but it is basically a paddock in the middle of no where that has been dedicated as a windsurfing reserve. The wind is very consistent and generally 5knots stronger than other locations.
Cheers,
Chris
