I guess the question is which style of board would you get the most use/fun out of (assuming you only have 1 waveboard)
A traditional'DTL'waveboard OR A wide/onshore waveboard
To avoid comparing different makes, perhaps you could ask which would be a better single waveboard quiver for a WA windsurfer? an Acid or an Evo?
Personally I don't go out 'wave sailing' much around Perth beaches, I spend most of my sailing time bump and jumping. When I do wavesail it tends to be at out of town spots where the waves are easier and more fun to sail.
I have always used a 'traditional' style waveboard as I favour control, speed and release for jumping over early planing. But maybe I'm wrong and should have been using an Evo all along.
I did try one once and it was Ok, is there anyone out there that uses both and can give a definitive answer which suits WA sailing better?
