We finished off the Australian Windsurfer One Design titles. It was a damn great regatta, although I am a bit biased!

Fifty seven entries made it the biggest Australian titles in windsurfing by a long way. There were sailors from Fiji, Norway, WA, Vic, NSW, Queensland and the ACT; the keen Tassy sailors couldn't make it. There were five Olympians, a two-time PWA World Cup winner, world champs from wavesailing through to Lasers, the new national champ in Manly Juniors (kids dinghies), and wavesailing champs Scotty O'Connor, Rohan Cudmore and Warren "One Knot" Holder. There were heaps of families; almost 20% of the fleet was women and girls, and about 20% of the sailors were in their teens or younger.
Mainly, it was just about kicking back on the water, doing your best, and having fun. Port Stephens was an awesome place to sail, facilities, club and accomodation were great, and because Wallies can race in light winds even the least experienced sailors got to finish with the main fleet.
Looks like we'll be returning to Port Stephens same time next year. If it keeps growing at the same rate we're looking like having 70+ entries!
