camo wetsuit, dive knife/thrower and a twin rubber shot gun tip spear gun is what you need.
Totally off-topic, but my last hobby before this one was spearfishing. On a week-long liveaboard boat trip in the barrier reef we were all issued those 'shotgun tips' (actually called powerheads). We all had a chat about them, and it turns out that powerheads kill more divers than sharks. Think about it, fire a powerhead (which is attached to your spear) at a shark/fish, it misses and hits rock or coral. The shotgun cartridge explodes, the explosion has nowhere else to go but to propel your spear back exactly in the direction it came, right into the diver! Also the cartridges can go off prematurely, people have had arms and legs blown off when carrying them under their wetsuit.
I quietly put my powerheads into my kit bag (remembering to take them out before getting on the plane

) and swam with the sharks with no explosives on me.
Sharks are fine, they respond to body language just like any other animal. Panic and they become interested. Stay your ground and lunge at them if they get too close and they swim away.
