Man .. I am absolutely gagging for some high wind. This is gonna be awesome .. have you seen how tight those isobars are on the synoptic chart? Bring it on! (did you know if you clicked on the 7 day forecast chart, it takes you to the synoptic chart? - real handy)

Hey Filthymat, is Sandy/Bircher Point the one near Penguin Island?????
With a WSW swell and NNW Wind, perhaps an "en masse" pilgrimage to Hardy/Elmo's beloved A****n Beach is the go for such conditions????!!!

Dear local gurus, as I'm not sure if I can get out off the beach through this 5m swell tommorrow , is there any non-secret spot for these northerly conditions? Thanks

The Wife and myself had a lovely little surf this morning at Scarborough, oh what a fair. I have my figures crossed that after church, a sail will be possible this afternoon, before meeting with the Treasurer............. to plan the weeks strategies.

God bless

Hi Folks,
believe it or not, but I decided to take the long way down to Mandurah this morning. On my way down I thought, f**k there is no wind at all. Finally, when I arrived at about 12:00 there was nobody, but a strong breeze from NNW and the swell was up. I expected at least 20 cars, but nobody was there. I was so confused that I waited about 1 hour in not too bad conditions (but heavy rain) for someone to arrive. I have never sailed Avalon in NW conditions, so I was a bit concerned to go out alone. Finally, I decided to drive up to Rockingham, to arrive just in time when the wind dropped. That was my BIG SUNDAY.
See you soon in Perth (not driving any more arond)

i was lucky enough to be down at margs this weekend. Saturday was really marginal, but today was going off! i've never seen margs like it was today, closing out through the bay and all the outer reefs breaking, really an amazing site. Even gracetwon was closing out through the bay. Ended up sailing at dunsborough, there was a great chest high jumping wave a few hundred metres out, and 25 knots. Pretty happy really, especially given the lack of wind here!

Hey Davo, what gear were you riding in Dunsborough?
There was a couple of young guys doing some nice forwards and backies there that day I was the tall dude trying tabletops all day
By the end of the day I was battling with my 4.7
Hope to get the same there tommorrow
