Hey Guys,

Big "Ups" to the windsurfer who brought in our forlorned school board floating along on it's way from Pinnaroo to Mullaloo today.

The poley in question took 5-10 minutes out of his day to swim his rig and our board in from 60 or 70 odd metres out. The student got his lines in a tangle, couldn't relaunch and so was self rescueing in. By the time he was in, the board was on the beach.

Thanks again, much respect and good Karma coming your way.

Good winds,

i've saved a couple of kite boards in my time...

rather than swim it in along with your own gear,

put your back arm through the kiteboard strap if you can, loosen it up if need be, waterstart and sail into the beach..... (you can do this with a windsurf board as well!!!!! use the back strap, waterstart, and trail the nose of the board in the water while u sail)

I helped rescue a kiter a couple of months ago... Drivin' down the West Coast Hwy, saw some dood stuck a couple of hundred metres out, chucked a u-turn, grabbed my board off the roof and paddled out...

3 days later (the next time I sailed) there were some kiters around (no probs). One kook insisted on coming within 30 cm of me/my kit and doing 1 ft high girly twirly wirly's while I was tuning my rig standing on a sand bank Lost the desire to help anyone after that...

It took alot of make up and many hours down the gym to get me looking that good on TV.
John reckoned it was best I left the wheelchair out of shot.
