Hi Guys

What's the deal with accomodation at Birubi for the Dirty Dog Wave Extravaganza? I'm heading up on my own and was going to sleep in a tent. I haven't been to these events before - do many people camp? Do people share houses or villas?

Any advice greatfully recieved!

Thanks

I havent been either, but I've been to the area, its very nice. I think I'm gonna stay at http://birubibeachcaravanpark.com.au. Looks like its right next to the spot. Standard cabin is $50/night. Wouldnt camp because its August and I'll need a 3 hour hot shower after being in the water and a warm place. I think the camping showers are 20c for 5 mins.
I know its very unlikely that this is not known, but after 4WDing thru sand dunes for some time we found ourselves driving past lots of blokes with jumpers on and no pants!!! this turned out to be samurai beach during the autumn, a nudie beach. They looked like a lot of hairy pre school kids who had escaped from a nappy change. Dont know why it was called samurai beach, especially given the cool temperatures
