Has anyone windsurfed at Blowering Dam??? If so where is the best spot?? The guy at the boat shop here in Wagga said its only one hour drive each way so I thought it was worth a day trip and he said it was "always" windy.

isnt it more of a creek these days?

I grew up in Talbingo when the T3 power station was being built in the 70's, remember going out to the sailing club with my dads mate, last time I drove past there, a few years back, it was a creek!

The guy in the boat shop said he goes out there all the time and that its about 14% capacity but that seeing its as large as sydney harbour when its full its still way way bigger than lake albert at wagga. It seems to get windy here in wagga about six at night with a storm, a bit late to dunk myself - by myself, I might go glug and never be seen again. But I'm still hopeful for a sail here in wagga.

Is that the lake behind the dam at Talbingo? It looked very sailable when I was last there - don't ask me about any launch spots though.

Davman, there is 3 dams at Talbingo, Talbingo Resovoir , up behind the township, feeds into the power station, Jounama Dam directly infront of the township, Blowering Dam is on the road between Talbingo and Tumut.

Blowering is where Jeff Warby (?) set the world water speed record, or attempted to.
