Anyone heading down to Boggy tomorrow? I probably am, the forcast doesn't look to bad. Is there much water there at the moment i havn't been there in so long (don't sail over winter because dad reckons it's to cold)? Looking forward to first sail of the season and finally get to try out my new board that i'm still yet to have on the water.

Cheers

Well while you guys all drove your 4 hours to the beachport long weekendend i ended up having a sail at Boggy Lake and i must say it's the worse i've ever seen it. Had to walk out for ages to get to the actual water across mud, but that wasnt to bad in the end. It was only just below waist deep and because it was so shallow and there was no buoyency (sorry about spelling) you sunk knee deep into the mud which made water starting very difficult. The wind was offshore which wasnt ideal and was also prity inconsistant however still some really good gusts.

Anyway after all the bads i had a reasonable sail. Tired out prity quickly however still got to take out my new board which i've been waiting to sail for ages, it's so fast i can't believe it. So all up not great, but still a good day. How could windsurfing ever not be.

I don't see how Boggy is going to be sailable over summer personally which will be no good at all. Apparently Goolwa isn't to great at the moment either. Just not enough water around. Where are we all going to sail over the coming summer i would love to know some new spots which i havn't yet tried? And i'll be interested to know where Onboard will hold their demo day this year aswell.

Also how was the beachport weekend i would love to know how that went? Have to convince my dad to take me to one of them sometime soon.

Cheers

Sounds like you had a good day, why didnt you use your new board?

Sounds like Boggy will be dry by January, you might have to come sailing in the sea with us Bubs! Goolwa, Kent Reserve, Sellicks, North Haven, Seacliffe! Yeah!

Beachport rocked, will post up some pics and video when I get a moment, off to bed ........ zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Yeah i did try out my new board and it was sweet. Couln't believe it. Even though i didnt get very many runs in at all. Deciding wether to sell my old one now and also a few different sails and what not.

Yeah dad and i are going to be investigating the sea areas around Adelaide aswell i think. Going to Goolwa for 2 weeks over new years and my birthday again this year and next year which will be good. But i think thats prity low last time i heard sadly.

Good to hear you had a good time at Beachport, looking forward to seeing pics and videos.

Probably catch you soon then. You'll have to let us know/show us about/around some of the beaches to sail at around Adelaide. Never really looked into the at all. I always aviod the salt water, i'm a bit lazy and cant be bothered washing my gear that carefully after using it in the salt water.

Anyway talk soon.

The lake at Goolwa is pretty salty now as well, leaky barrages me thinks. Missus will be down Goolwa way today and I reckon we will be around Goolwa South Coast on the weekend.

Enjoy your hols!

On the topic of Goolwa - has anyone here sailed there recently?
Just wondering if it's any good at all or too shallow

Wifey sailed there on Tuesday, said it was fine, water level was sailable.

Apparently the weekend was ****, SW wind blew water up to Clayton

Thats good to hear. Not sure what both Goolwa and Boggy are going to be like through the summer though. I think they are going to just about become un sailable in the next couple months. Don't know how Onboards demo will go at Boggy this year.

Advertiser on Tuesday suggested about 80cm lower by early next year, and worst case, a further 90 cm lower again. We'll be able to park alongside the channel and just reach back and forwards along it :(

divaldo - if you're who I think you are, Aleida says "hi" to you and "Wifey". Hopefully one day we'll make it down there again. (If you're not, apologies for the no doubt puzzled expression).
