Just to let you all know, Brad Andersons ashes were scattered off the shore at Makaha on the north side of Long Reef point yesterday.
His family and friends gathered on the cliff top to say farewell to a local sailor, surfer and all round great guy.
The remaining ashes were then scattered around the new seat that has been erected in his favourite spot in Long Reef beach car park. Added to this were the ashes of his faithful companion, Merle the wonder dog.
It was big turn out and everyone caught up to remember and say goodbye over a beer.
If your in the area drop in and add your respects and next time you sail there know he will be watching from his spot on the hill.
R.I.P Brad.

I didn't know or pretend to know the guy, but sounds like a fitting way for a sailor/sea lover to spend the rest of eternity - much better than being burried in some plot of land that, eventually, no one will vist you anyway!
Nice touch with the dog ashes too.....
