hi ian,

i can't help this time but if you let me know what suburb you are in i may be able to help out with a sunnycoast trip in the future.. heading to either Mooloolaba, the Caloundra Bar or Neil St depending on wind direction.

cheers

no worries mate.

i am keen to try neil street up the sunny coast at the next opportunity. i used to boogie board there years ago so i know it has some great waves but i haven't windsurfed there before.

some friends up that way say it is "the" spot at the moment for the locals.

i can tell you it has a point break, beach break and reef break all in the same location and will hold waves up to mast high on the reef. We would need a SE to make it work and less than mast high waves to make me work. if you are not familiar with the spot it is the southern end of dickies beach at the Neil Street carpark. some people call the reef out from the beach moffat's reef.
