just wondering if anyone knows where its good to go in bunbury / australind in an easterly? according to seabreeze its going to be a 16 - 21 knot SSE all day ... should i get excited ?
the estuary might be ok but i just dont want to get blown over to the otherside cos im not too hot on the deep water starts yet

cheers MAV

Have a chat with Bender as he's a local, should be able to give you the good wood on the subject.

Hey Mav do you drive a white cruiser 60 series. Think i have talked to you before(gave you rigging tips).

On a easterly if you are keen you can sail from Turkey point which is over near the cut. Your best bet is quindalup as it is side shore.

IMO the best way to learn to water start is sail in deep water as you will never force yourself in shallow water.

My favorire spot on a SE'er is Ridley place as from that direction the boat channel is dead smooth(glass). Its a broad reach on the way out and tight upwind on the way in.

Thanks mate , yes u did give me rigging tips , i have a Tan Patrol , thanks for the tips they were very helpful , using the harness has been the greatest thing ever, had the best day of my life a week or so after i can do a water start , its just that every time i have been out its juuust not windy enough to fly the sail ,
anyways ,
where abouts is quindalup? do you think it will be worth it goin out on saturday?

Quindalup is in between Busselton and Dunsborough.

Oh righto , the biggest sail i have is a 6.4 , i will take that, and my 5.7, see what happens i guess.
