Are they any good? I'm in the market for a freeride type fin, approx 32cm for my carve.

Havent used one but guys that have rate them highly.
At the moment he is only doing slalom and speed fins.
Looking at getting 2 slalom fins.

my 2 fins arrived yesterday 30&36 and was lucky enough to use both fins on a board i estimate to be about 80 to 85lts slalom with a pride 6.7 rs in 18 to 25knts
it's only the second time ive had this board on the water so its hard to compere different fin's (SR-6B-32GSPORT) its allso an awsome fin, what i found with both fins when fully powered, the board felt very loose and sitting high on the water and sailing off the fin, and the 30 felt great with the 6.7 witch i thought would be a tad small, i'm now looking forward to 15to20knts and see how the 36 goes

keef you impressions sound like what I was told these fins would do.

Grant, let me know when you're placing the order, I may get one at the same time, looking at a 42 as well, and we can save a few $$ on postage.

what i ment by that is, there wasnt hardly any apparent wake, when looking at the tail it looked like it was floating on air with very little splash just speed off the fin
im looking forward to tomorrow 25+nne so i can give the 30 the test on a smaller slalom, my feelings are i mite need to get smomething smaller maybe the 26 either way ill let you know

Keef, yep thats what I thought you meant. I was told the fin lifts the board up nicely and sails free in the water. Can wait to try mine tomorrow, good NE'r here as well.

Grant, you coming over tomorow for the the last race for the year.

well you wouldn't believe it des but i got to stick my n/p 7.3 on a isonic 111 today 15 to 20knts with the largest drake fin that comes with the board maybe a 40 , then stuck my c3 36 on (as you would if you was trying a board out) it was a tad small (38 would have been great)in the lulls but in the gusts sweet'as

most of the day i was on the ca 55 and ended up on my 80lt ,with the 7.3 being a bit heavy for the board but in the gusts you could fell the tail lift in the fin

des if you want to give your 38 a go tomorrow get down there early cos it looks like you will be haveing a fin and sail change towards the end of the day

either way let us know how your 38 goes

Tried my Venom 30 today with a Loft Blade 5.6, that's one quick fin

Got a spot PB by almost a knot...

Lots more to come with this fin I think! Considering getting the 34 for use with my 6.8...

Very happy

Didn't get a chance to try the 38, got to the water too late at 2pm, it was already cranking. Went straight to a 5.2m and 80L slalom....but I can't complain about that.
